Bhandar is point of sale and shop management software. Running it means holding your shop's records for you. This page says exactly what those records are, who can reach them, and how to get them deleted.
What we store
Only what the software needs to work. There is no advertising network behind Bhandar and nothing here is sold or shared for marketing.
- Account details: your name, email address, username, role, and a hashed password. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and cannot be read back, by us or anyone else.
- Shop records: the shops you create, their products, stock levels, suppliers, staff accounts, sales, returns, and expenses.
- Sign-in activity: the time, IP address, and browser of each successful sign-in, kept so you can spot an account being used by someone else.
- Audit history: which account created, changed, or deleted a record, and when.
What we do not store
Bhandar does not take card numbers or bank details. A sale is recorded as cash, online, or split — the payment itself happens outside the system. We do not collect customer names or contact details at checkout, and there are no third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the application.
Your address is used for account email only: the temporary password when an account is created or reset, a password reset code, a confirmation when a password changes, and low-stock alerts for shops you own. Mail is delivered through Resend, which processes the message in order to send it. There is no marketing list.
Who can see your data
- You, and the staff accounts you create — each limited to the shop and the permissions you give them.
- Our administrators, for support and account management. Access is logged.
- Our hosting and email providers, only as far as running the service requires.
Shops belonging to different businesses are kept separate. One company's staff cannot reach another company's records.
How long we keep it
Shop records stay for as long as the account is open, because sales and stock history are the point of the product. Password reset codes expire within minutes of being issued. Ask us to close your account and we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records longer by law.
Your choices
Write to us and you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. You can change your own password at any time from inside the app, and an owner can revoke a staff login immediately.
